Ambea Group strengthens its Board of Directors - Mikael Lilius appointed as Chairman of the Ambea Board
Mikael Lilius has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ambea starting from 24 January 2011. Lilius, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Economics, was CEO of Fortum Oyj from 2000 to 2009, CEO of Gambro 1998-2000, and CEO of Incentive 1990-98. He is currently chairman of the Board of Directors at Huhtamäki Oyj, and is a Board member of Aker Solutions, Evli Bank and Wärtsilä. Read more »

Ambea Group strengthens its Senior Management - Daniel Warnholtz appointed as Ambea’s CFO and Vice President of Finance
Daniel Warnholtz has been appointed as the new Chief Finance officer (CFO) and Vice President of Finance at Ambea, starting from 18 April 2011. Warnholtz, who holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Economics, has been employed at AstraZeneca as CFO Sweden since 2007 and CFO and Vice President Nordic since 2009. He previously worked at Procter & Gamble from 1996, holding such positions as Finance Manager of P&G Nordic. Read more »

Margita Klemetti, Vice President of HR and Quality at Mehiläinen Oy, has been appointed as the new Vice President of Human Resources at Ambea AB, starting from 1 October 2010. Mehiläinen to be Finland’s largest producer of mental health rehabilitation services - Acquisition of Human Care Network will strengthen Mehiläinen Municipal Services
Through an agreement signed on Friday, 18 June 2010, the Mehiläinen Group will acquire Human Care Network (HCN) in the largest transaction ever concluded by the Group. As a result, Mehiläinen will become Finland’s largest private provider of mental health rehabilitation services for municipalities and hospital districts. Read more »

Matti Bergendahl to step in as new CEO at Ambea, Mehiläinen’s parent company
Matti Bergendahl (43) has been appointed as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Ambea AB. Bergendahl, who has been Deputy CEO of Ambea since 2007 and CEO of Mehiläinen Oy since 2005, replaces Ralph Riber who will take up new challenges outside the company. KKR partnered with Triton to acquire Ambea, parent company of Mehiläinen
Ambea, the largest private provider of health care and nursing services in the Nordic countries, announced on 23 February that it would be acquired by the Triton private equity group by the end of March. The acquisition was finalised on 31 March 2010, but with the addition of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) as a partner for Triton. Mehiläinen Oy, Finland’s best-known and most respected private social and health care services provider, is a part of the Ambea Group. Change of Ownership in Mehiläinen’s Parent Company Ambea - Ambea Group reinforces its development with new owner Triton
Ambea Group, the largest private provider of health care and nursing services in the Nordic Countries, is changing hands and moving under the ownership of Triton. Mehiläinen Group selected as government national health care service provider
The Mehiläinen Group has been chosen as one of the government's contracted national health care service providers from the beginning of 2010. Hansel Oy, the organisation responsible for government procurement tenders, has chosen Mehiläinen to be one of the two national service providers for the whole of mainland Finland, chosen under the so-called 'framework agreement'. Mehiläinen has developed extensive health care services over recent years. Read more »
