Mehiläinen bases its operations on strong professional competence and management. Mehiläinen offers numerous training options for improving professional skills and training programmes supporting the company's objectives.

One of the core competencies of Mehiläinen, or good leadership, is based on the company's values. Managers with direct subordinates have an option to take a vocational management specialist qualifications (JET). The qualification has been organised since 2002 and over 100 managers have passed the qualification.
