Mehiläinen expanding to Pori

Mehiläinen Oy has on this date purchased the entire share capital of Porin Pihlajalinna Oy and the business operations of Torilinnan lääkäriasema Oy. Following the transaction, the operations of Mehiläinen Pori will continue at the current addresses of the companies, in the centre of Pori at Eteläkauppatori 4 and in Ulvila at Tommilantie 2. The personnel of the companies, a total of six employees and nine medical practitioners, will also continue as before following the change of owner.

The service range of the companies includes extensive occupational health services, general practitioner services and specialist services, with the most notable current specialities being gynaecology and otorhinolaryngology. The joint objective of the parties is to establish a full-service medical centre and occupational health unit in Pori; the range of specialities available will already be increased by late summer 2009.

The expansion of the Mehiläinen Group will be supported in Pori by new premises. Negotiations on new premises in the centre of Pori are set for completion during autumn 2009 and the move to the new premises may take place as early as 2010.
